When you order and then choose to create a customer account, you can do so on the checkout form, by checking the tick box ‘Create an account?’ at the bottom of the form. This is not obligatory of course.
For future orders it’s convenient to have a customer account. You can then log in as a ‘Returning customer’ on the ‘My account’ menu or checkout form, and you won’t have to fill out all your data every time you order.
In your customer account you can also change your personal data, view orders, etc.
